TitleLetter from Hans Friedrich Gadow, University Museum of Zoology, Cambridge, to William Abbott Herdman, Chairman, Zoology Committee
Date26 June 1901
DescriptionIn answer to Herdman's note of 24 June, if Dr. Willey gets the place at Colombo, he will be engaged in museum work and will have no time for the Nautilus. In any case, the Gunning Fund is not intended for the production of Memoirs. Dr. Rivers is excellent, well spoken of in Cambridge, and his work is more interesting. Gadow would support Rivers' bid. He thinks the matter could be settled by correspondence, since a meeting would be ill-attended at this time of year.
