In any case, the Gunning Fund is not intended for the production of Memoirs. Dr. Rivers is excellent, well spoken of in Cambridge, and his work is more interesting. Gadow would support Rivers' bid. He thinks the matter could be settled by correspondence, since a meeting would be ill-attended at this time of year. |
