Date | 7 September 1842 |
Description | Ross congratulates Lloyd on his marriage.
Ross is to head to the Cape of Good Hope soon leaving some men at the Falklands in order to obtain simultaneous observations between the Cape, the Falklands and with the Van Diemen's Land [Tasmania; Lutruwita or Truwana] observatory.
Ross's instruments have remained in good condition, the magnetometers 'steady'. Ross sends to Lloyd some of his observations and curve lines [not enclosed].
