Description | Sabine greatly vexed not to have been able to see Lloyd during his recent trip to Dublin. Sabine able only to copy out his dip observations from Scotland at present as he is due to take the tour of the District with Sir James Douglas and has preparations to make. Remarks on Lloyd's needles which Sabine will soon send back. Possibility that Sabine will make more observations in Scotland next April. Sabine makes Lloyd aware of American government's plan to send out an Antarctic expedition and that an officer is currently in London purchasing instruments for it. |
