[Professor John] Phillips is coming to London with results of his part in the British magnetic survey. Sabine discusses how their report on the British magnetic survey ought to be organised. Further discussion of British survey on pp4-6.

[Alexander von] Humboldt writes to Sabine 'a great deal' about the instruments and stations he wishes the Royal Society to 'adopt' with reference to his letter to the Duke of Sussex [23 April 1836].
