Description | Discussion on the work being done at Lucknow observatory. Wilcox discusses receiving a letter from Mr [Thomas] Grubb, to whom he had asked to provide an induction inclinometer for his observatory in Lucknow. In his reply Grubb mentions he had consulted with Lloyd regarding this. Wilcox asks for Lloyd’s guidance with Grubb, and advise him on which instrument to send Wilcox.
Discussion on the unifilar instrument and improvements to it. Wilcox informs Lloyd that he has constructed an auxiliary instrument. Wilcox discusses the sufficiency of his apparatus for the total intensity.
Wilcox discusses any objections to two instruments are combined into one. Discussion on the arrangement in readjusting the inclinometer after intensity experiments. |
