Title | Letter from Charles James Buchanan Riddell, London to Humphrey Lloyd |
Date | 22 September 1843 |
Description | Riddell is sending Lloyd instructions for what was the transportable magnetometer, but has now taken a larger form, and would like Lloyd’s suggestions especially regarding the induction instrument, and the temperature correction. Riddell has attached the formula throughout to correct the scale readings [not enclosed].
Riddell is writing in a hurry, as he is leaving in a couple of hours for Hamburg for a tour of two or three months on the 'continent'. Riddell hopes to complete his instructions soon, and to send them to Lloyd for his comments. Riddell details his travel plans and places he will visit in Germany. |
