Description | Monthly report of the superintendents of exploration. Giving an account of completing 'gallery' excavations and the re-commencement of work in the 'chamber'. Gallery confirmed as 21 feet large. In the original excavation of the chamber, they 'confined ourselves to a breadth of 30 feet, which is considerably less than the width of the chamber' working in parallels north to south - now they will extend their excavation and work east to west. With two outline sections (side and edge elevations) of a flint tool (no.1515). |
