Description | Monthly report of the superintendents of exploration. Description of continued systematic approach to removing and studying deposits: update on the '17th "parallel," in other words we are taking out a vertical slice of the deposit... we continue to remove each parallel in horizontal levels...'. Rough annotated diagram of deposit layers one to four describing materials and findings. Objects of interest found include: flint implement, teeth of: cave bear, cave hyena, and rhinoceros, a whetstone, grey flint flakes, cream flint flakes. The workmen are described as 'industrious, attentive, keen eyed, and intelligant'. |
