Title | Letter from William Hyde Wollaston to Thomas Young |
Date | 26 August 1801 |
Description | Dated by postmark
Thanks Young for salutary correction. He aded his information in haste and when too late wished his note had been burned rather than sent. But though Wollaston saw his error and guessed which way to look for what was right, he does not see 4:1 to be right without Young's assistance.
Wollaston values Young's Bakerian much, but he cannot say that he has yet inserted the undulatory doctrine into his creed and it may be some time before he repeats it with fluency.
Wollaston fears that the category of procrastination will be fatal to his refractions but will endeavour to rouse himself. |
