DescriptionBond informs Sabine that the has not received his paper on the moons magnetism. Major [William Hemsley] Emory was ‘gratified’ with Sabine’s interest in his hard work, and he has recently presented to the [American] Association regarding his magnetic observations on the western coast. Lieutenant [Amiel Weeks] Whipple has recently returned from an exploration across Rocky Mountain to the Pacific and made magnetic observations on his journey. Discussion on the unfortunate weather conditions during the eclipse.
