DescriptionBond acknowledges receiving a pamphlet from Sabine on the results obtained at the British colonial magnetic observations. Discussion regarding the connection between solar spots and the terrestrial magnetic distance. Major [William Hemsley] Emory has presented another paper to the American Academy regarding the magnetic elements for the region surrounding the boundary between the United States and Mexico, as recently surveyed by him. Bond has constructed a chart to go with Emory’s observations which will soon be published along with the observations.
