Description of Adare’s ‘passage’ of 41 hours from Bristol to Dublin. Remarks on looking forward to seeing Sabine, and his generosity and kindness. Adare expresses his happiness regarding Sabine’s communication with [Christopher] Hansteen. Reference to Dr Robinson examining railroads and the eclipse. Adare describes dining at the provost with various scientists, remarks on the conversation, and expresses his enjoyment at meeting his ‘Dublin scientific friends’. Reference to the Geological Society.
