Reference to the Secretary of State for India’s decision to decline Chambers alteration to the observatory in [Mumbai] Bombay, as well as the necessity of observations in India, and the observatory being under the control of the Astronomer Royal. In a letter to the [Mumbai] Bombay Government Chambers remarked on the advantages of working to the Kew system. Discussion regarding terrestrial magnetism in India. |
