DescriptionChristie notes that Sabine’s communication consist of three memoirs, the first contains biographical information regarding David Douglas. The second memoir contains results of observations for the determination of the geographical positions of places mainly on the shores of Columbia. The third memoir contains an account of Mr Douglas’s observations for the determination of the direction and intensity of the terrestrial magnetic force in the country adjacent to Columbia, and some north pacific islands.
