DescriptionCochrane on behalf of the Secretary of State of India, informs that the sum of £275 will be disbursed to the Director of the Kew Observatory in relation to pendulum expenses. Cochrane agrees with Walker’s suggestion that Mr [?] of the trigonometrical survey [reference to The Great Trigonometrical Survey of India] will be requested to take charge of the pendulum and magnetic instruments.
