DescriptionAbbadie is sending Sabine the first part of his paper Géodésie d'une portion de la Haute- Éthiopie, along with observations for the last total eclipse [not enclosed]. Remarks on the transactions of the British Association for 1859, and the report on the magnetic survey of Scotland. Abbadie’s Géodésie is still incomplete, but would still like to send his paper half printed to ‘the only two English savans [scholars] who stood by’ Abbadie when the Royal Geographical Society ignored his work.
