Title | Copy of a letter from Hermann Kindt, London to [Edward Sabine] |
Date | 22 September 1863 |
Description | Refers to Sabine’s letter regarding the translation of a small collection of [Eduard] Vogel’s letters. Kindt has forwarded Sabine’s letter to the Assistant Secretary of the Geographical Society, Mr Greenfield as the President, Sir Roderick Murchison is out of town. It will be the decision of the President to determine if Vogel’s letters ‘may be considered sufficient to authorise’ translation at the ‘expense of the Society’. Kindt is only a member of the [Council] of the Geographical Society therefore does not hold in ‘authority’ regarding this. |
