TitleLetter from Hanmer Warrington, Tripoli, to Capt. Ed[ward] Sabine, Royal Artillery
Date1 July 1830
DescriptionWarrington writes of his happiness at hearing that Captain Sabine would begin collecting Alexander Gordon Laing's papers for publication. He has directed Mr. Hay and Mr. Amyot [?], who possesses the correspondence between Emma Warrington and Laing culminating in marriage, to also send any papers they have regarding Laing. Laing's scientific papers are also discussed, and Warrington wishes them to be taken from the hands of private individuals and placed in the care of the British government. Warrington requests that two copies of the work be sent to him upon publication.
