Commencing: 'Whereas His late Majesty King Charles the Second, by His Letters Patent...' and continuing 'Now I James Burrow Esquire, at this time President of the Royal Society, by virtue of the Powers and Authorities aforesaid, do by these presents nominate and appoint the Rt Reverend Father in God Charles Moss Lord Bishop of St David's, being one of the present Council of the said Royal Society, to be together with James West Esquire, my Deputy in the said office of President...'
Signed 'James Burrow P.R.S.' and sealed by him. Sealed and delivered in the presence of John Robertson and Thomas Hughes. With an embossed stamp for two shillings and sixpence. |
