CreatorLubbock; Sir John William; third baronet (1803-1865); British astronomer and banker
RecipientDaussy; Pierre (1792-1860); French hydrographer
Date25 June 1835
DescriptionHis letter relating to the Greenwich Observations has been forwarded to Lubbock by Mr [Joseph Barclay] Pentland. Council have approved sending volumes for the years 1823-24 and for 1832, through Pentland's bookseller. Council regret that they do not have the 1828 volume. If he writes to Mr. [John] Pond, the Astronomer Royal, he would render the set complete. Any observations from the Depot would be welcomed at Greenwich, which Lubbock knows as a Visitor to the Observatory.
