DescriptionHe sends Sir Hussey Vivian's letter on the subject of magnetic observations. On his order and Spring Rice's sanction he will send to the Inspector General of Fortifications, instructing engineers at the different overseas stations. Official papers on the expense are with the Treasury, and it would be advisable to have these back, officially sanctioned, as soon as possible. He returns Lubbock's letter.
