Description | Regarding the transfer to the Royal Society of a 'service of plate' bequeathed by Sir Humphrey Davy and a picture beqeathed by Dr John Davy. White informs Davy that someone will pack and remove the items in the course of the next week, and asks him to confirm the number of items and the size of the picture. White also answers that the Council of the Royal Society are unlikely to have a problem with Davy purchasing the centre-piece, but that it will be best for them to have the entire service before making a conclusion on this matter.
