TitleCopy letter from [John] Wrottesley; President of the Royal Society; to Major General Cannon
Date24 July 1858
DescriptionHaving heard that the Office of Works will start the installations in the large rooms on 14 September, the portraits will likely be put up in October. This will leave amply time to complete the painting of the great hall. Has no objection, therefore, in granting the great hall and lower library to the disposal of the Council of Military Education for the examination of officers on 23 to 30 August.
