Title | Letter from Charles Algernon Parsons, C A Parsons and Company Limited, Heaton Works, Newcastle-on-Tyne, to [Dugald] Clerk |
Date | 23 August 1915 |
Description | Hopes that Clerk will be attending the Royal Society meeting tomorrow. Parsons cannot come. He has been in close touch with Dumas and Letham from HMS Vernon and has modified the mine design as a result. The mechanism should be stronger and more compact. The firing gear is being considered, with additional protection against sand and a bottom buffer made of wood. |
