DescriptionFinal article prepared for the press -- informs the public that the Minister of Munitions and the Food Controller have requested the assistance of the Board of Education in carrying out a scheme to collect horse chestnuts -- that the chestnuts will replace grains currently used in 'industrial processes necessary to the prosecution of the war' and indirectly increase food supply -- that schools form small committees to oversee collection by children -- that the nuts be collected only when ripe, transported by basket and gathered in local heaps.
