DescriptionAppointing George Murray of the British Museum as Director of the Civilian Scientific Staff. He is not required to proceed with the ship to the ice, but will leave at Melbourne or Lyttelton. As Director he will make any necessary appointments to the Civilian Scientific Staff in conjunction with the Commander of the Expedition. On his return, Murray will be the Editor of the scientific results.
