DescriptionWith a view to the more efficient and speedy conduct of the Antarctic Expedition;
Both Societies agree that, in accordance with the decision of the Joint Committee, some of the powers delegated to their Joint Committee, which is too large for executive functions, be entrusted to an Executive Committee consisting of four persons appointed by the respective Councils, with the functions and duties laid down in the accompanying Memorandum.

Two of these persons shall represent the Royal Society, and two the Royal Geographical Society

The Councils have approved, provisionally, the Memorandum in question, but are willing to consider any suggestions which the Joint Committee may desire to make with regard to it.
