Description | Letter written from Clereholt, Holmbury St Mary, Dorking Limited opportunity to consult the Finaance Committe members, but states there will be no difficulty with Bernacchi's travelling and subsistence expenses at Potsdam viz 2nd class fare and say fifteen shillings a day subsistence money. Bernacchi has not said if he requires an advance in respect of these, and therefore he assumes it will suffice if Bernacchi is repaid on his return on rendering an account of what he has spent. With regard to his passage to Melbourne he must settle himself which steamer to go by, but in the event of his not going by the Cuzco it would be necessary for him to give in a letter to the Finance Committe with sufficient reasons for his having so done. With regard to his Melbourne expenses, these will be paid by the Finance Committee but he must consult his fellow Treasurer as to the name in which this is to be done. Can Bernacchi please let him know his addresses. States this will be his, Kempe's address until September 11th, then he will be in London at 10 Porchester Square for a few days and will be able to see Bernacchi before he leaves. |
