Description | Plans to go through the cheques and settle other business with [Robert] Chalmers this afternoon. Asks Kempe to visit tomorrow between 11am and 2pm, also to go over cheques and other business. [Edward] Cocks signed a number of cheques on 24 September and is now away. Receipts have been received for all of these, which Kempe needs to sign. [Cyril] Longhurst has Scarlet Fever and will not be back for a fortnight. Hodge, 'the type writer', is having 'epileptic fits' and Markham proposes to dismiss him. At present he only has one 'office boy', and Scott's change of route is generating a lot of work. |
