TitleLetter from Edward Cocks to A B Kempe
Date23 June 1903
DescriptionWritten from 47, Wilton Crescent, S.W.
Informs Kempe that he got the letter signed and took it down to Chalmers. He desired that no communication should be made to the Press at present. He left a line for Mr Harrison to that effect. He believes a further letter from the Treasury will follow but Chalmers will do his best to promote the interests of Colbeck, the ships company and Longhurst. Poor Sir Clements said Cocks had made him sign his death warrant so he feels rather sad though he is sure it is the best thing for his own interests.
