Enquire at Admiralty (on behalf of Sir William Huggins);
1. Verify whether Friday October 3rd is latest date for posting to Hobart from England, to reach there not later than November 30. Sir T Holdich says it is, and that the Admiralty informed him thus. The Post Office authorities have no information whatever of a mail after September 26th
Answer; There is a mail ship Brindisi leaving Friday to Tasmania. The mail of Friday 23 October should reach Hobart before 30 November.

2. Enquire whi is at present managing Antarctic business as th4 President of the Royal Society or one of the officers will be glad to put some germans questions
Answer; The Hydrographer, and in his absence the Assistant Hydrographer is referred to.

3. Ask if Admiral Aldrich is available for an interview, and if not who would be the proper naval officer to consult at the Admiralty or elsewhere.
Answer; Admiral Aldrich is not at the Admiralty at present but if it is necessary he can be communicated with.
