Items discussed:

Recommendations from the Sub-Committee of Naval Officers were accepted, including that the Joint Committee write a letter of thanks to the Admiralty, that the appointment of expedition officers should be deferred until the leader is appointed, and the appointment of [Robert Falcon] Scott as expedition leader should be accepted.

The Admiralty should be informed that Scott's services will be required for expedition matters from July.

The expedition commander and Professor [John Walter] Gregory were appointed ex-officio members of committees.
