RecipientGeikie; Sir; Archibald (1835-1924)
Date11 December 1908
DescriptionCopy of letter [for the original, see MS/591/5/9].

Scott has read Shaw's reply to his letter concerning the Meteorological Volume, but does not withdraw his request for an official investigation. Shaw's response was unsatisfactory and has laid further accusations on the expedition personnel, in partiular the accusation concerning the destruction of instruments. Scott believes he can challenge these new charges but states that his original complaints must be settled first. He refuses to remain silent when grievances around the initial preparations for the Expedition are being revived as published criticism. Encloses detailled notes on Shaw's comments [see MS/591/5/10].
