The Treasurer [of the Royal Society] has become nervous, and [Arthur] Schuster seemed surprised when Thompson took the view that the thing should be expedited, not postponed. He would like a positive view from the [Cambridge University] Press and he asks Larmor to ask Clay or any of the Syndics, if he should see them.
