TitleLetter from James Thomson, 22 Wentworth Place, Newcastle on Tyne, to [Joseph] Larmor
CreatorThomson; James (b.1858); British engineer
RecipientLarmor; Sir Joseph (1857-1942); Irish theoretical physicist
Date2 March 1909
DescriptionHe was glad to hear from Mrs. Bottomley that Larmor will co-operate on a 'Life' of his uncle [Lord Kelvin]. He has always felt that Larmor was the right person to deal with his work, life and character. Thomson has read the memoir which Larmor sent some months ago and this has delayed his writing. James Bottomley has asked for letters from Kelvin to Thomson's father, to send on the Larmor. He will send a packet in a few days. Some have been seen by Sylvanus Thompson.
