| Title | Letter from James Thomson, 22 Wentworth Place, Newcastle on Tyne, to [Joseph] Larmor |
| Creator | Thomson; James (b.1858); British engineer |
| Recipient | Larmor; Sir Joseph (1857-1942); Irish theoretical physicist |
| Date | 30 March 1911 |
| Description | Thomson has received Larmor's letter and packet of manuscripts, for which he gives thanks. His sister is writing to Larmor and was grateful that he had read her manuscript so carefully. They are going through the manuscripts for improvements and they will preserve all of Larmor's amendments. He is packing and sending to Cambridge the plaster cast of Dr. [Thomas] Andrew's curves. The curves may be seen as faint grooves, which might be blackened to show up in a photograph. The model was exhibited by Andrews with the loan collection of apparatus at South Kensington in 1876. |
