| Description | If you must sin, sin boldly, Shaw quotes, asking Larmor to print the paper as it stands. If anyone has views about the harmonic components and can write them down, he will deal with them. He gives a history of how he wrote the paper and is sure of the logic. He must have expressed it badly of the reasoning appears to be wrong. He believes there is a two year oscillation of variable magnitude superposed on the four harmonic components of the eleven year period. He gives two hypotheses for this effect and discusses his reasoning further. He thinks that the paper raises one side of the question of periodicity in a way that will be useful. He notes an interesting point in discussing observations subject to accidental errors. |
