| Title | Letter from Frederick Soddy, Chemical Laboratory, Glasgow University, to [Joseph] Larmor |
| Creator | Soddy; Frederick (1877-1956); British chemist and social commentator |
| Recipient | Larmor; Sir Joseph (1857-1942); Irish theoretical physicist |
| Date | 30 October 1906 |
| Description | Soddy asks if he may present his paper to the Royal Society on 15 November, as Professor [Henry Cort Harold] Carpenter of Manchester will be in London and can help with the experimental demonstration. Soddy has a short paper by A.J. [Arthur John] Berry on a thermal method of measuring high vacua whish he woud like to add to the paper as an addendum. [Thomas D.] Mackenzie is presently determining the resistance and discharge of mercury vapour to settle Larmor's point and these results should be ready in time. Soddy would like this to be a second addendum to his paper when printed. He notes when these various texts will become available |
