Description	Walker did not have any information until he received the report approving that he should cease as Superintendent next May. He has had no offer from the Meterological Committee except a letter which he encloses, and asks for its return. It is 'vague & non committal', and he infers that he must look for work elsewhere. He finds it unjust, in that he has done much of the magentism clerkign in his spare time, as the two clerks were so employed with meteorology. Before there was word of change, he was offered a post which he declined, because he was happy with magnetic and seismology work. If it is intended to move him to office work for three years and then to Valencia, he wonders what becomes of his magnetic work. He feels he cannot work loyally with Dr. Shaw, who has misrepresented him to committees, saying that Waker had taken advantage of his postition on the Gassiot Committe and had faled his staff, all untrue. In writing about Cambridge, he hoped he might get some post such as the Stokes Lctureship at £200 and make up the difference by coaching and examining. If Larmor discourages this, Walker will try soem other direction.
