| Title | Letter from James Dewar, Royal Institution of Great Britain, London, to [Joseph] Larmor |
| Creator | Dewar; Sir James (1842-1923); British chemist and physicist |
| Recipient | Larmor; Sir Joseph (1857-1942); Irish theoretical physicist |
| Date | 14 March 1904 |
| Description | Dewar made his old experiments on the specific heat of carbon in 1872, and he gives the value obtained. At the same time, [Heinrich Friedrich] Weber examined the diamond, deducing its specific heat value. He comments on this, and radium bromide, asking Larmor if he can surmise any reason for a rise in energy. He does not think this was caused by any blunder. |
