| Title | Letter from James Dewar, Royal Institution of Great Britain, London, to [Joseph] Larmor |
| Creator | Dewar; Sir James (1842-1923); British chemist and physicist |
| Recipient | Larmor; Sir Joseph (1857-1942); Irish theoretical physicist |
| Date | 4 January 1907 |
| Description | Instead of attempting to answer Dewar's points, Larmor evades them by developing new arguments. His objective is to show Dewar as being 'technically in the wrong'. He comments on the Secretary's powers, for which Larmor has referred him to the Yearbook. He asks a series of questions in dealing with Proceedings papers, in correcting mis-statements, and in the addition of footnotes to papers. He also asks if Dr. [Joseph Edward] Coates's paper was passed for publication between 13 and 25 December with reference to the Chairman of the Sectional Committee. |
