TitleLetter from C [Charles] Chree, The National Physical Observatory, Kew Observatory Department, Richmond, Surrey, to [Joseph] Larmor
CreatorChree; Charles (1860-1928); British physicist
RecipientLarmor; Joseph (1857-1942); Irish theoretical physicist
Date19 October 1909
DescriptionDiscussing [Louis Agricola] Bauer's current stay in Falmouth, to examine the magnetic work of the Royal Cornwall Polytechnic. Chree presumes Bauer intends to make a 'sub-permanent' arrangement to compare this work to that of the Carnegie [Institution of Washington], where Chree has also been invited to visit. Chree feels that this arrangement should suit both parties although has concerns, such as the better-resourced Carnegie Institution exerting influence over the work in Falmouth.
