| Title | Letter from Geo Fras [George Francis] Fitzgerald, Trinity College, Dublin, to [Joseph] Larmor |
| Creator | FitzGerald; George Francis (1851-1901); Irish theoretical physicist |
| Recipient | Larmor; Sir Joseph (1857-1942); Irish theoretical physicist |
| Date | 18 April 1900 |
| Description | Fitzgerald thinks that Larmor's criticism dealt with [Paul] Drude well, but his paper might still be translated to promote discussion and draw attention to the phenomenon. He believes that Larmor cannot imagine that a 'heretic' such as Fitzgerald could have a voice in reorganising the College of Science. He thinks there will be 'holy wars' between the departmental committee and the Board appointed by Act of Parliament. He was glad to hear a good account of [William McFadden] Orr. |
