| Title | Letter from Arch [Archibald] Geikie, Haslemere, to [Joseph] Larmor |
| Creator | Geikie; Sir Archibald (1835-1924); British geologist and historian |
| Recipient | Larmor; Sir Joseph (1857-1942); Irish theoretical physicist |
| Date | 23 May 1910 |
| Description | He has received Larmor's letter and returns [James] Dewar's. Geikie has had more communications from him, but he cannot see the need for hurry, as a petition could not be considered without a supporting financial statement. He thinks he should write informally to Mr. [Herbert Henry] Asquith asking him to consider the case of Lady [Margaret] Huggins with other claims for the Civil List pensions. Geikie is going to London, but is anxious about his brother, who is seriously ill, and he may go to Edinburgh at any moment. |
