| Description | It was a pleasure to see Larmor's handwriting. On [Thomas John I'Anson] Bromwich's age, retirement is usually at sixty, which may be extended to sixty-five, and aftre that by annual re-appointment. Hill has held his Chair until sixty-seven. Hill enquires if Bromwich has a pension, and if he has recovered from the breakdown he had several years ago. Hill has an operation for glaucoma last June, and although he hoped to work for longer, his surgeon has instructed him to retire next June. |
