TitleLetter from E H [Edmond Herbert] Hills, Grayswood Copse, Haslemere, to [Joseph] Larmor
CreatorHills; Edmond Herbert Grove- [pseud. Colonel Rivers] (1864-1922); British astronomer
RecipientLarmor; Sir Joseph (1857-1942); Irish theoretical physicist
Date26 October 1906
DescriptionHe should have answered Larmor's letter but has been laid up with a bad throat. He hopes Larmor will come to dinner on 9 November, but cannot put him up as he has no house at the moment, it being let out. He has extracted promises from the eclipse observers as to when reports will be ready and he will write to Larmor officially. Porter's report seeems careful, although Hills has not looked at it carefully and the Royal Astronomical Society has had nothing from him before.
