| Title | Letter from Arch [Archibald] Geikie, Shepherd's Down, Haslemere, to [Joseph] Larmor |
| Creator | Geikie; Sir Archibald (1835-1924); British geologist and historian |
| Recipient | Larmor; Sir Joseph (1857-1942); Irish theoretical physicist |
| Date | 13 October 1919 |
| Description | Geikie has seen Larmor's letter in 'The Times'and thinks he 'will be bombarded with continental bits of impertinence'. He has probably received a more outrageous performance from Holland, but there are few signatories of any note, although Geikie regrets to see [Svante] Arrhenius and [Hugo] de Vries signing it. No eminent Dutchmen or Scandinavians have signed. He has not seen Lamor in a long time, and invites him to stay for a weekend. |
