| Title | Letter from A [Andrew] Gray, to [Joseph] Larmor |
| Creator | Gray; Andrew (1847-1925); British physicist |
| Recipient | Larmor; Sir Joseph (1857-1942); Irish theoretical physicist |
| Date | 24 November 1901 |
| Description | He has the Report of Council of the Royal Society with Larmor's nomination as Secretary in place of [Arthur William] Rücker. It is just the nomination that Gray would have made. Gray is busy with proposals for a new physical laboratory, and the prospects for funds are excellent, with Carnegie Trustees proposals. Demands upon them are enormous and Glasgow's are high, but not more than some Gray has heard of. Gray and Robert Caird have been charged with inspecting newer laboratories in England, to put plans in shape. He notes a translation of his 'Dynamics' into German and other general news. |
