Description | Huggins is very grateful for Larmor sending him a full statement of [Hugh Frank] Newall's position regarding his taking possession of another instrument. Huggins and Margaret Huggins will be delighted to see Larmor, and notes which day would be preferable. They are very glad that the new Chancellor [of the University of Cambridge] will give Liveing a [honourary] degree, as 'he has worked well and successfully and has not received too many acknowledgements', and that this is timely at the time of Liveing's retirement. |
