Description | Huggins is grateful for Larmor's interest in the publication of his papers, and the trouble he has taken with the University Press. He muses on the size of the papers and type, as well as his plans regarding printing, storage, and distribution. He then discusses [Oliver Joseph] Lodge's work 'The Attitude of Science to the Unusual', regarding the 'occult'. He references Dr [Arthur Woollgar] Verrall, whose wife [Margaret de Gaudrion Verrall] and daughter [Helen Salter] claim to receieve communications from ghosts. He then updates Larmor that [Henry George] Lyons is giving up his army career to teach in Scotland. Newall and his wife [Margaret Newall nee Arnold] have been greatly encouraged by Newall's Fellowship and Professorship. |
